SUPPORT BREASTFEEDING FOR A HEALTHIER PLANET
Our partners, the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) coordinate and organise World Breastfeeding Week between the 1st and 7th August.
Find more information here.
Historically, World Breastfeeding Week honors the August 1990 signing of the Innocenti Declaration by government policymakers, the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and other organizations. That document helped pave the way for protecting, promoting and supporting breastfeeding worldwide. But there is still much work to be done!
Join us as we celebrate #WBW2020 – we have collaborated with WABA to create a series of resources which we will publish through the week. We will also be sharing information from La Leche League entities around the world and from our global partners. This year most entities are doing online events, so now it is possible to attend more events in different countries and different languages!
Pledge to participate in the #WBW2020 celebrations by sending WABA details of your activities: they will pin your information to their Pledge Map.
